great shots wayne keep up the great work with colin, its giving people the opportunity to see what these magnificent birds can do in the hands of good falconer.was the birds flying to the lure, or was he using a kite. it looks like the birds in the shots are younger than 2 yrs old and not yet got their adult plumage is this correct cheers simon. p.s what camera u using.
The pictures are of 2009 tiercel's most are of a tiercel that was hatched on the 05/05/09. I think the photos cover him between about 7 to 9 weeks todate. Some are of the photos are of him taking the lure of a carbon pole held as high as possible, before he progressed to the suspended lure on the kite, yesterday he climbed perhaps 400 ft.
thanks for the info colin if i do manage to pop through to derby in august, i have 20 days of work would i be able to come and see you and 010 with my son who also loves peregrines to death to, going to malham cove to see them there next weekend. if its ok ith you that is i'll leave a message nearer the time kind regards simon.
